Place the complete envelope into a larger envelope, with appropriate postage, and address it to:.Place a First Class Mail stamp on that envelope.Add the return address “ Santa Claus, North Pole” to the outside of that envelope.Of course, you’ll need to put your home address on the outside also. Put both letters (your child’s Dear Santa letter and the return letter from Santa that you wrote) into an envelope, and address that envelope to your child. And be sure to sign the letter “From Santa”. Put on your “Santa hat” and write a response to your child’s letter… so you’re actually pretending to be Santa Claus, and the return letter that you write will be mailed back to your house with a North Pole postmark like it came from the “real” Santa.Put your child’s Santa letter in an envelope addressed to: Santa Claus, North Pole.

The Greetings from the North Pole Post Office program is one of the coolest things I’ve ever heard of, and it definitely deserves a spot on your list of family Christmas traditions! Not only does the program help your kids learn about letter writing and penmanship, it’s also FREE (minus the cost of a few stamps)! Just cut out the stamps of your choosing and glue them to the envelope… then you’re done! Where to Mail Your Letter to Santaĭid you know that there is an actual, official mailing address for Santa Claus? Yup, me neither… until I started doing some digging! But thanks to the USPS, your kids can mail their Santa letters to the big man himself by way of his Alaska address.Īnd, they can get a return letter postmarked from the North Pole! Yes, with a real postmark that actually says “North Pole”! But if you’re going to just pretend “mail” the letters (like while your unsuspecting kids are at school), then you can just use the printable fake stamps. If you’re going to really mail your letters, of course you’ll need to put a real stamp on them. I’ve got Santa’s official mailing address for you down below (straight from the USPS website!). Next, it’s time to address your letters to Santa. But your kids can still decorate them with Christmas stickers or handmade festive drawings to add some fun to this Christmas tradition! Step 4: Address and stamp your Santa Letters and mail them before December 7th! If you’re going to really mail your kids’ letters to the North Pole (or to the Alaska address down below), then you may want to use a real envelope instead. If you choose to use the black and white Santa letter template, your kids can also color in the Christmas designs for a fun craft like my daughter did: the treats that they are leaving for Santa and the reindeer.a few things on their Christmas wish list.Depending on which template you choose, your kids will generally need to fill in: I’ve got 3 different templates for your kids to use, all with slightly different designs and wording.

The thicker paper is sturdier and I prefer it to regular copy paper for printing colored PDFs. I recommend printing on a heavier weight printer paper (like 28 or 32 lb.), especially if you save your kids’ Santa letters as keepsakes. Then, print the ones that you want to use, or print them all!
